Short Biography for Tory Christie
Tory Christie is a scientist by day, working as both a geologist and hydrologist. She also is a published poet and writes children’s books about science, technology, and nature. When it is light outside, she studies rocks and water and the natural environment. After dark, she writes poems and stories that kids and their adults can smile about. She is the author of the Big Blue Earth picture book series, the Curious McCarthy chapter book series, A Touch of Blue middle grade novel, and many non-fiction books. Tory Christie lives in Fargo, North Dakota.
Biography for Victoria G. Christensen, PhD
Victoria G. Christensen worked as a research scientist at the U.S. Geological Survey for many years studying water quality. Most of her work took place in our National Parks, where she was able to explore some of the more remote places in the country. She is still involved in research focusing on algae blooms and their toxicity. During her years at USGS she designed coursework in Project Management geared especially for scientists. She writes a popular Substack on project management.
